Gong, X., "Treatment of Secondary Epilepsy with Foot Reflexology Therapy, Report of One Case." 1993 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, page 16.

A 60 yr old woman who was hospitalized with weakness, palpitations, hypertension, coronary heart disease, cardiac failure, renal arteriosclerosis, and seizures was given 200 treatments of foot reflexology and acupuncture. The next day, she had fewer convulsions which subsided down to two the next day. After one week, she was discharged and had no more seizures for 6-months.

Foot reflexology has been shown to be effective in controlling the convulsions associated with secondary epilepsy.
