Synopsis:

50 out-patients were divided randomly into two groups. All cases in the two groups were clinically diagnosed as psoriasis. A Treatment Group composed of 25 cases from 16 to 40 years old; course of disease: longest 4 years, shortest 1 year. The Control Group composed of 25 cases from 18 to 36 years old; course of disease: longest 3 years, shortest 9 months. For the Treatment Group, reflexotherapy was the main treatment with each session lasting 40 minutes and the patients were asked to drink water to eliminate toxicity after treatment. This was combined with Dietetic Therapy that consisted of steamed fish with Sophora Flower, 2 to 3 times a week.

Conclusion:

The Treatment Group had a total effective rate of 100% and Curative rate of 92%. The Control Group had a total effective rate of 81% and curative rate of 24%. Days needed for complete recovery: 30-45 for the Treatment Group and 60-90 for the Control Group.
