Synopsis:

12 athletes, both male and female, recovering from fatigue, were divided into two groups of 6. All of them had no physical training 20 days before the test. The test group was given foot reflexology daily for 15 days. Both groups had the same training and were observed for their sleeping, appetites, and reactions to the training. Those in the test group had better sleep, better appetite, and quicker recovery from fatigue and muscle soreness than the control group.

Conclusion:

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of fatigue and muscle soreness in athletes undergoing regular training.
