Guodong, L., Jianling, T., "Diagnosing then Treating Hysteromyoma with Reflexotherapy." 2002 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing, China Reflexology Association, pages 27-28.

Some patients wanted or required an effective non-operative therapy. Pharmacotherapy could diminish the size of the myoma but slowly and with side effects. Reflexotherapy was applies in 10 cases of various myomas and cysts.

When the myomas were small, it was difficult to make a correct diagnosis. Therefore, further examination should be made in the hospital for final diagnosis. Generally, after one to two months of treatment, effective rate was 100% by B-type ultrasonic examination. The myomas disappeared and the patients recovered to normal. But when the myoma was relatively large, operation therapy could be a better option.
