Synopsis:

20 healthy young people, both male and female, ages 19-38, with constriction of the gallbladder (some 15%, some 35%, some 50%) were given foot reflexology focusing on the gallbladder reflexes. The volume of gall measured before and after. Results: the change of volume of the gallbladder showed a remarkable difference (P less than 0.001.)

Conclusion:

Foot reflexology applied mainly on gallbladder reflex zones can induce constriction of the gallbladder. In some cases, the constriction effect is remarkable. Foot reflexology has special value for treating gall tract system diseases. Further study is recommended.
