Jing, C., "Cases of Biliary Tract Disease." 1996 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, page 45

A 90-year old woman with epigastric pain after dinner was diagnosed for gastritis and given fluid infusions for treatment. There was tenderness in the liver and gallbladder reflexes but not in the stomach during a foot reflexology session. After several sessions, she had less symptoms and within 3 days they disappeared.

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of colestatis and infection of the biliary tract.which constitute a majority of cholecystitis or cholelithiasis
