Kesselring, A., "Foot Reflexology: An Intervention Study." Forschende Komplemental Medizin, 1994, Supplement 1, pages 38-40.


  130 patients, divided into 2 control groups were given foot reflexology sessions for 5 days the day after gynecological surgery. The first group received simple reflexology and the other personal conversation. Results: Results showed an increase in abdominal pain during sessions and therefore, reflexology is not recommended for post gynecological surgeries.



Foot reflexology was not found to be effective for post gynecological surgeries.
