Synopsis:

 
  40 patients, both male and female, from 58-90 yrs old, with non-habitual constipation and habitual constipation were given foot reflexology. It was found that the digestive and absorptive functions of the intestine were strengthened, and alimentary disorders were prevented with this treatment.

Conclusion:

 
 

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of abdominal peristalsis and abdominal gurgling.
