Ma, Y., "Observation of Influence on Blood Flow in Radial Artery of 22 Cases with Taut or Normal Pulse by Foot Reflexology." 2000 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, pages 59-60.

22 patients from an out patient clinic, both male and female, were given foot reflexology. An IM-II type electropulsograph test was done before and after along with a color ultrasonograph 850Gp to test the blood flow in the redial artery. After the treatment, all 22 cases showed much improvement. 15 patients ranging from 40-56 yrs old had a taught pulse and 7 patients ranging from 25-55 yrs old had a normal pulse. All patients had normal blood pressure.

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for increasing arterial blood flow.
