Synopsis:

41 cases, both male and female, ages 30-70, with lumbago for 5- 20 days, were given 20 minutes of foot reflexology daily for 3-6 sessions. Sixty-nine cases were given faradization, placing electrodes on the adrenals and lumbar reflexes. Eleven cases were given acupuncture on lumbar and sacral reflexes for vertebrae, followed 15 minutes of faradization daily for 3-6 sessions. Six cases were given 100 pressures of self made magnetic bar pressing at both acupoints Taixi (K3) daily for 3 days. Of all these cases, faradization to reflexing points on the feet were most effective and had the highest cure ratio.

Conclusion:

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of lumbago symptoms.
