7 patients with hysteromyoma, a benign tumor, were given foot reflexology for 1-3 months. Three were diagnosed during a routine health exam, 2 were diagnosed in hospital and had symptoms of prolonged menstrual periods, hypermenorrhea and dysmenorrhea. The other 2 had additional sense of lower abdominal compression and increased vaginal discharge, and one had anemia. All patients had a single tumor. Following the sessions, they continued with doing reflexology on themselves. Three months later, the tumors and symptoms disappeared.
Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of hysteromyoma.
