Xu, Z., "The Clinical Observation on the Treatment for 83 Cases with Cervical Spondylosis by Hand Massage Combined with Tui-Na." 1996 China. Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, pages 110-114.

83 cases, both male and female, with cervical spondylosis from 2 months to 5 years were divided into two groups. The treatment group of 39 patients, were given 20-30 minute of hand reflexology along with tui-na therapy after unsuccessful conservative treatments. The control group of 44 patients were given hand reflexology only. Results: the treatment group's had 98.79% success, and the controlled group had 95.45%. The clinical success rate for the treatment group was 49.39% and 27.27% for the control group. The combination of both therapies showed greater, quicker results.

Hand reflexology combined with tui-na was found to be effective for the relief of cervical spondylosis
