Synopsis:

52 cases, both male and female, ages 35-75, with cervical spondylopathy from 1-20 years were given 30-40 minutes of foot reflexology daily except Sunday for 12 sessions. Their feet were submerged in warm saline water for 5-10 minutes before and after the sessions. The control group, 28 cases, were given cervical vertebrae traction and iodine iontophoresis. It was found that there was no difference in the rate of effectiveness between the two groups, but the treatment group (48.1%) had greater clinical relief than the control group (28.95%)

Conclusion:

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of cervical spondylopathy.
